Whether you ride an e-scooter, e-bike or a full EV, the battery determines your range and running cost. A few good habits can add years to its life.
1. Avoid charging to 100% every time
For daily use, keep the charge between 20% and 80%. Full charges stress the cells; save them for long trips only.
2. Don't let it drain to zero
Deep discharges age lithium-ion batteries quickly. Recharge before you drop below 15–20%.
3. Mind the temperature
Extreme heat is the biggest enemy of battery health. Park in the shade and avoid charging right after a long, hot ride.
4. Use the right charger
Always use the manufacturer-approved charger. Cheap third-party chargers can overheat cells and void warranties.
5. Charge slow when you can
Fast charging is convenient but generates heat. Use standard charging overnight for everyday top-ups.
6. Store it partially charged
If you won't ride for a while, store the battery at around 50% and top it up monthly.
7. Get a periodic battery checkup
A professional battery health check catches cell imbalance and degradation early — before it strands you on the road.
A healthy battery isn't luck — it's maintenance. Book an EV battery checkup to know your real battery health.
